To address the specialized demands placed on the various markets we serve, Endwave operates two complementary business units with the necessary dedicated resources to win in those competitive environments. Endwave’s commercial telecom business unit has supplied hundreds of thousands of high-frequency modules for microwave point-to-point radio products that provide "backhauling" of broadband voice, data, and video traffic within cellular transmission networks. As network enhancements become necessary to meet the transmission capacity and capability demands of 3G, WiMax and other next generation standards, Endwave is meeting that challenge. Furthermore, in the emerging market of broadband wireless data communications, Endwave has been a pioneer in the adoption of the “E-Band” (70/80 GHz) marketplace – where wireless radios offer a compelling alternative to terrestrial fiber optic cable in a variety of commercial and government applications. In early 2005, Endwave modules were used in the first commercial deployment of a 70/80 GHz gigabit radio link to provide quadruple-play services to residential customers for high-speed data, voice/video over IP, high-definition TV, and video-on-demand services.

Endwave Defense and Security addresses markets in the defense community including advanced satellite communications for “intelligent battlefield” initiatives, electronic warfare (EW) platforms using conventional and advanced phased-array radars, and signal intelligence (SIGINT) for a host of military and government end-use applications. Furthermore, in the emerging homeland security space, we provide hardware that enables intrusion and perimeter alarms for our armed forces, atmospheric monitoring equipment for our airports, and check-point personnel portal scanners for weapons, explosives, and contraband detection.
